Welcome to Cover to Cover Discipleship. This method of discipleship is designed to help you experience your best life ever as you learn to identify and apply truths you discover in God's word. The goal is that you will become prepared, confident, and skilled in the knowledge of scripture such that you will know how to do the right things, for the right reasons, and to fall madly in love with your Heavenly Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
FAQ's:
- How much will this cost? $Zero to the coach. You may need to purchase a bible (new or used, no commentary, a true translation in the form you understand best). If you have one already that does not contain notes, commentary, maps, drawings - you are good to go. There are companion reading materials you will need to purchase along the way. These are purchased through Amazon, Christian Book Distributors, or other online resources. No mark up by C2C Discipleship.
- When do groups start? Groups will begin the week beginning on Sunday April 27
- Do I need a Bible School Degree or years of Bible training? NO! absolutely not. This is for the person hungry to know God better, to understand the Truths of the bible that apply to the context of your life. You may be a new believer with no to very little exposure to the bible, or you may have been born with a KJV in your hand. Either way, this is for you, because the goal is the same (see above).
- What's so special about this method? This is individual discipleship in a group. You'll learn more about what that means later, but for now ... this is designed to give everyone a voice, to hear what they've learned during the week, to be challenged and encouraged as an individual. Both extroverts and introverts will succeed at this, no matter if you are a type A, B, C, D, ... Z personality, you will see God's truths and be able to express them as an individual, in the context of your life.
- How long are the meetings? That depends on the size. We try to keep group sizes between 3-6 individuals, but due to schedules and space availability, some groups may be 7-10, but no larger. Groups 2-6 are exactly 1hr 30min, groups 7-10 are exactly 2hr.
- What about punctuality? Groups will start on time, no matter who is or is not there. Each disciple is responsible for their own journey, which may include unintended delays and interruptions (work, illness, road conditions, etc.). If a disciple is late, they will miss what they've missed, but they are welcomed to join in where the group is at when they arrive. Any missed content can be discussed between the coach and the disciple after group via email, text, phone, or 1-on-1 (time permitting) during the following week.
- What does it mean to 'register'? When you register for this event, you are requesting to be sent an invitation to join a 48 week discipleship group that will read the bible from Genesis 1 thru Revelation 22.
- What do I need to study to prepare for the group? There is no pre-study required.
- What are the expectations and how does group work? Everything will be explained at the first meeting.
- When do groups meet? You may select from a list of available meeting times, and you may select more than one to ensure you get into a group. Groups are not gender specific, and they are multi-generational (ages 17 - 217).
- I have a difficult time meeting in the evenings, are their other options? There will be a morning and evening Zoom meeting option so you can participate from work, home, or wherever. They will be listed at the same time as in-person groups, and based on who selects what will determine what type of group will meet at that time.
- What happens after I register? After registration, you will receive an email to ensure the address is correct, and to introduce you to the coach, with his contact information. Once your email is confirmed, you will receive an invite to a group based on your selection. If a group is not available during a time you selected, you will be contacted to see if you are available for a group during a different time.
- The invitation has a link toward the bottom of the email, what is that about? C2C Discipleship uses the Sustainable Discipleship method. The link is an app that will have your reading plan so you will know what to read when, what you've done and still need to do to stay up with the group, and their is a questionnaire you will fill out to help your coach coach you better by having some insight into who you are as a person.
